Here’s Why Dorothy Zbornak Is My Hero

For chronic pain sufferers, it seems like life is getting a lot harder to manage. Most days, it seems too much to handle.
I struggle with a lot of health problems, along with being a chronic pain sufferer. I’ve been dealing with chronic pain since 2005, but it has gotten worse after going through septic shock in 2016.
Most of you know that I adore The Golden Girls, and it’s my number one favorite TV show. Out of the entire seven seasons, two episodes have touched my soul.
Season Five, Episode 1 & 2: Sick and Tired.
Dorothy is diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome after being sick for five months straight.
Before she received her diagnosis, she met with one doctor after another, and unfortunately, every one of them dismissed her claim of being sick since she didn’t look ill, and her test results came back fine.
One doctor even went as far as to tell her to go to a hairdresser and change her hair color.
