The Ballad of Carole Baskin
Hey all you cool cats and kittens.
After the Tiger King documentary came out on Netflix in March 2020, people have been fascinated by the eccentric personality of zookeeper Joe Exotic.
However, Exotic is not the only fascinating character in the documentary, there are several others that make the series entertaining.
To me, a key player that is worth mentioning would be Carole Baskin.
That’s right, the same Carole Baskin who feuded with Exotic for years is someone fans of the documentary should get to know.
So, without further ado, I present The Ballad of Carole Baskin.
Early Life.
Carole Baskin was born Carole Ann Stairs on June 6, 1961, on the Air Force Base in Bexar County, Texas.
Baskin’s interest in saving cats has been her passion since she was nine years old, and she considered pursuing a career in veterinary medicine.
However, Carole chose not to follow through after learning that veterinarians euthanize animals.
Carole’s parents raised the family as Conservative Christians, and sadly, she did not have an easy life, with her teenage years being especially difficult for her.
